Welcome to BioBlitz 2009! 

This is the official advance registration site for the National Geographic and National Park Service 2009 BioBlitz at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The BioBlitz takes place Friday and Saturday May 15^th and 16^th.

National Geographic and the National Park Service are creating standards-based pre-, during-, and post-event instructional activities for use with the Indiana Dunes BioBlitz. Materials for some of these activities will be posted on the BioBlitz website as the event nears. There will be on-site instruction and field activities for students at the event.

Teachers should register now if they plan to bring students to the BioBlitz. Advance registration through this site is required for all K-12 teachers planning to bring school groups to the event.

The deadline for teacher registration is March 31, 2009, or earlier if all available slots are filled. We will accommodate classes on a first-come basis, so early registration is advised!

After you submit your information, you may log back in here and make revisions until the deadline. A member of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore staff will be contacting you after registration to confirm your education team time slot and provide details about your visit to the park. We will do our best to accommodate preferred time and park location requests, but may have to ask some groups to come at other times or to other locations within the park.
